1. Select a wire feeder
First, when purchasing a welding machine, you need to consider whether you need to select a wire feeder. The selection of a wire feeder requires comprehensive consideration based on the material, thickness and welding process of the workpiece to be welded, and the selected wire feeder must match the purchased welding machine.
2. Preparation
Before assembling the wire feeder, the following preparations need to be made:
1. Confirm whether the wire feeder model and corresponding accessories are complete;
2. Check whether other accessories of the wire feeder are complete, such as wire guide wheels, pulleys, wire guide sleeves and wire feeding tubes;
3. Check whether the input power cord of the wire feeder meets the standard requirements and whether the plug matches the welding machine;
4. Prepare the tools and auxiliary equipment required for installation and construction, such as ladders, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
3. Wire feeder installation
1. Install the wire feeder on the top or side of the welding machine, and choose a suitable installation position according to the actual situation;
2. Use screws to fix the wire feeder on the welding machine to make it stable and firm;
3. Install the wire guide wheel, pulley and wire guide sleeve on the wire feeder, and connect the wire feed tube;
4. Plug the input power cord of the wire feeder into the corresponding socket of the welding machine.
4. Debug the wire feeder
1. When the power of the wire feeder is turned off, feed the welding wire into the nozzle of the welding machine through the wire guide wheel, pulley and wire guide tube;
2. Adjust the speed of the wire feeder to make the welding wire flow slowly;
3. Plug in the power cord, turn on the power of the wire feeder, and observe whether the welding wire flows smoothly from the wire feed tube;
4. Adjust the speed of the wire feeder and the working current of the welding machine, and perform test welding to ensure that the welding quality meets the standards.
