There are three boom arms, a main arm, a rotating arm, a forearm. The primary arm is attached to the column-mounted main boom arm pivot assembly. This enables the main boom arm to rotate up to 180° of semi-circle rotation. A double-articulated joint assembly connects the main arm and forearm. It is this double-articulated joint that allows the forearm to rotate 360° off of the primary arm, providing a complete coverage zone of up to 16-78 foot (5-24Meter) Dia semi-circle with no welding dead zones, common to other designs.

All welding equipment: the welding power supply, wire feeder, welder and wire feeder settings, inert gas, welding wire, weld boom controls, and optional Hi Vacuum Welding Fume Extraction System are mounted on the boom column or arms.

Mounting all the equipment on the boom column removes the clutter from the shop floor, and eliminates time spent dragging the welder around, tangled, or cut cables. Making your shop safer and more productive.
